Rafflesia arnoldi produces one of the largest individual flowers: Kew describes a diameter of up to about one meter. Its odor resembles rotting meat and attracts insect pollinators. An individual flower must be distinguished from an inflorescence containing many small flowers: the tall titan arum belongs to the latter category. A particular bloom’s size should not be inferred from an unscaled photograph.
