UK fossil fuel reserves: significant, but not the largest

The claim that Great Britain has Western Europe’s largest “fuel mineral reserves” depends on which resources are counted. In a comparable European review of remaining oil and gas reserves, Norway ranks first and the United Kingdom second. That comparison does not combine every fossil fuel into one overall ranking, so the original unqualified claim cannot be confirmed.
