Antarctic ice-sheet thickness
The Antarctic Ice Sheet is about 2.16 km thick on average according to reference figures from the Australian Antarctic Program and GFZ. The source list’s 2,133 m is close in scale, but it is not a universally exact value: the mean depends on the mapped boundary and whether floating ice shelves are included. The British Antarctic Survey gives 1,948 m for mean thickness including ice shelves.
Antarctic ice thickness varies across the continent.
