A salt hotel in Bolivia
Palacio de Sal is a hotel on the edge of Bolivia’s Uyuni salt flat, built largely from compact salt blocks. The hotel says more than a million blocks were used, and some sculptures and interior pieces are also made of salt. Beds and seating may incorporate salt structures, but mattresses and textiles are not salt; “almost entirely” refers to building blocks and selected furnishings, not every component of the building.
