Велике новонароджене слоненя | A large newborn elephant calf

A newborn elephant calf can weigh about 100 kilograms, but that is a ballpark figure, not a universal weight for all elephants. For Asian elephants, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo gives a broad range of 68–158 kg; individual newborn calves at zoos have weighed around 90–120 kg. Weight varies with species, sex, individual factors, and whether the calf is weighed immediately after birth.
