Плювальні кобри можуть спрямовувати отруту в очі | Spitting Cobras Can Aim Venom Toward the Eyes

Can a cobra hit the eyes with venom from several metres away? Some spitting cobras direct a jet or spray of venom toward a threat, often aiming around the eyes. Sources give a range of roughly two to two and a half metres for the red spitting cobra (*Naja pallida*). But that does not support the claim about an “Indian cobra”: the common Indian cobra (*Naja naja*) is not considered a typical spitting cobra. Range and accuracy depend on species and circumstances.
