Walt Disney’s record: 59 Oscar nominations and 26 awards

Guinness World Records credits Walt Disney with a record 59 Oscar nominations over his career and 26 awards, including special and technical honors. An important distinction: 22 of the 26 were competitive wins; the rest were honorary or special awards. Totals depend on which types of awards and nominations are counted.
