A little wonder, every day
does music make cows produce more milk

Music in a milking area may affect cows’ behavior, but it has not been shown to increase milk yield. A pilot study on a Finnish farm compared periods with and without music for 17 cows using an automatic milking system. The cows passed the gate to the milking robot more often, but their mean daily milk yield barely changed: 37.0 kg without music versus 36.5 kg with music. This was a small study, so it does not answer every possible question about music and milk production.
