A little wonder, every day

An electric eel can produce an 860-volt discharge

Some fish produce electric discharges, but the electric ray is not the voltage record-holder. In a 2019 study, an electric eel of the species Electrophorus voltai produced a measured discharge of 860 volts. Electric rays usually generate much lower voltages—about 20–50 volts, according to the Australian Museum.
