The Mariana Trench: Deepest Known Ocean Trench
The Mariana Trench contains Challenger Deep, the deepest known part of the ocean floor. NOAA gives an estimate of about 10,935 m below mean sea level. Depth estimates depend on measurements and their revision; saying that some parts exceed 10,000 m is accurate.
