Глибокі занурення імператорського пінгвіна | Deep dives by emperor penguins

Emperor penguins usually dive much less deeply and for shorter periods: typical dives last a few minutes, often around 3–6. But recorded extremes exceed the source’s figures: a 2007 study reported a maximum depth of 564 m and a dive lasting 21.8 minutes; in 2018, a 32.2-minute dive was reported among tagged adults. So 500 m and 18 minutes are plausible older record-level figures, but they are neither current maxima nor typical values.
