Electronic eSight eyewear, including eSight 3, uses a camera, image processing and displays in front of the eyes to help people with residual low vision. It does not create sight where vision is completely absent. In a small 2023 study, eSight 3 and other devices improved some visual tasks in participants with Stargardt disease, but comfort and everyday use remained challenges. An unverified “more than 1,000 patients” figure should not be presented as clinical evidence.
