The Palenytsia plateau in the Chyvchyn Mountains

Palenytsia is a high alpine pasture and plateau in the Chyvchyn Mountains of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Verkhovynskyi National Nature Park calls it Ukraine’s highest plateau and gives an elevation of about 1,750 m; other sources report roughly 1,749–1,758 m. The reference is to a broad highland pasture/plateau, not a flat summit as a separate landform.
