A flea's giant leap

Some fleas can jump many dozens of times their body length; popular scientific reviews cite up to 200 body lengths for some species. Scaling that ratio to a 1.80 m person yields hundreds of metres as a thought experiment, not a real prediction: results depend on species and on whether jump height or distance is being compared.
