Хто насправді спить у польоті? | Which birds actually sleep in flight?

Some birds really do sleep in flight—but direct measurements have not established this for albatrosses. Electroencephalograms confirmed brief episodes of sleep in flying frigatebirds. By contrast, tracking studies show that albatrosses often settle on the water at night. So the claim that albatrosses sleep while flying at 40 km/h is unsupported; their speed also varies with wind and flight mode.
