The last Olympic medal in an art competition

AI concept, not a portrait of Letitia Hamilton.

At the 1948 London Olympics, Irish painter Letitia Marion Hamilton won bronze in the painting competition for Meath Hunt Point-to-Point Races. It was the last Olympics with competitive art events; after 1948 they gave way to non-competitive cultural programs. Her bronze was the last Olympic medal awarded for a painting, although art-competition awards were later excluded from official overall medal tables.
