In 2012, Portuguese concert promoter Álvaro Ramos told the press that a special team cleaned Madonna’s dressing room after her and outsiders could not enter until the team finished. Vanity Fair repeated his remarks about hair and traces of DNA, but he described the practice as protecting the singer and making her comfortable. There is no independent confirmation that this was a standing policy or that Madonna herself said fear of DNA theft was the reason; sensational retellings overstated that motive. [1, 2]
