Cells renew constantly—not 50,000 per sentence
Cells are continually lost and replaced, but turnover varies greatly by tissue. Sender and colleagues estimated about 0.33 trillion cell turnovers per day in an adult, with roughly 90% by number being blood cells. That averages around 230 million cells per minute, not a fixed 50,000 while reading a sentence. The number over any particular interval depends on how long the sentence takes to read and on individual circumstances.
