Skin blushes—not the stomach

Blushing is visible widening of superficial skin vessels, most noticeable on the face, neck, and upper chest. The stomach has its own blood supply as an internal organ, but it cannot be seen through the skin, and the clinical meaning of a blush does not imply that the stomach simultaneously “turns red.” Emotions can affect the autonomic nervous system and digestive sensations, but the literal claim that the stomach blushes is not established.
