Identical twins' DNA

Identical twins usually share nearly the same inherited genome, but their DNA is not necessarily perfectly identical: mutations after the embryo splits can leave different variants in their cells. Other people also share large portions of DNA rather than having wholly different “codes”: human genomes are about 99.9% alike, with individual variation.

Even identical twins can acquire different mutations.
