Can you see Uranus with the naked eye?

Five planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn—are usually easy to see without optical aid. Uranus can also be visible to the naked eye, but it is extremely faint, near the limit of human vision: you need a clear, dark sky and must know exactly where to look. That is why it was not recognized as a planet until William Herschel observed it telescopically in 1781. Neptune is not visible to the unaided eye.

Under dark skies, Uranus is just barely visible without a telescope.
