Free public Wi-Fi in Seoul

Seoul has built a large free public Wi-Fi network. In 2022, the city reported 28,006 access points in public spaces, transport, parks, and facilities; in 2026, the municipal government reported 35,318 operating devices. This demonstrates an extensive municipal network, but “one of the world’s most connected cities” requires a defined metric and is not an official ranking.
