Matching genes do not imply invariably identical scent. In a 2011 experiment, specially trained police dogs distinguished scent samples from identical twins even when they shared a home and diet. This contradicts the claim that twins always smell identical, but a small experiment does not establish absolute scent uniqueness for every person under all conditions.
