Gold in the human body
The human body does contain gold, but only in trace amounts. Estimates near 0.2 mg appear in reference literature, though they depend on analytical data and are not a fixed amount for every person. The claim that most of it is in the blood is not supported: PubChem’s reference summary estimates that about half of total body gold may be in bones. Gold has been detected in multiple tissues, without one consistent distribution pattern.
