Fact 1009 — Lake Svityaz
Svityaz, in the Shatsk lake district of Volyn Oblast, is considered Ukraine’s deepest natural lake. Its commonly cited maximum depth is about 58.4 m; a scientific paper notes that some sources give 60.6 m, so 58.4 m is the established figure but not the only reported value.
