Mount Thor's western face

Mount Thor is in Auyuittuq National Park on Baffin Island in Canada’s territory of Nunavut. Its western granite face has a near-vertical drop of about 1,250 m and in places overhangs the vertical. It is among Earth’s largest uninterrupted steep drops. The Arctic remoteness, severe weather, and technical difficulty make climbing it a serious mountaineering challenge.
