The length of DNA in the human body

If the nuclear DNA from all cells in a human body were uncoiled and laid end to end, one published estimate gives several trillion kilometers—roughly the Earth-to-Pluto distance one way, not necessarily a round trip. The result depends on the number of nucleated cells, ploidy, and which cell types are counted. A typical diploid cell alone contains about 2 m of DNA. [1–3]

The estimate depends on the number of nucleated cells.
