Mercury Is Liquid at Room Temperature
At a standard room temperature near 20 °C, mercury is the only metallic element that is liquid. Its melting point is about −38.8 °C. Gallium and cesium melt just above typical room temperature, so they can become liquid in a warmer room; bromine is also liquid at room temperature, but it is a nonmetal.
