A little wonder, every day

Shared heritage does not mean an identical canon

Справжній рукопис єврейської Біблії з Іспанії близько1300 року; не спільний фізичний канон трьох релігій / Actual Hebrew Bible manuscript from Spain,circa1300; not a single physical canon shared by three religions.

Christianity emerged in a Jewish setting, and Islam recognizes many biblical prophets and earlier revelations. Yet the three religions do not identically accept the Christian Old Testament. Jewish scriptures have their own canon and interpretation, while the Quran is Islam’s distinct sacred text. Historical relationships coexist with important differences.
