Anish Kapoor’s sculpture *Hole and Vessel II* disappeared from a specialist storage company, Fine Art Logistics. In 2007, a judge concluded its most likely fate was that it had been mistaken for builders’ rubble during construction work, removed and destroyed. The £351,375 compensation was awarded to the work’s owner, Swiss collector Ofir Scheps, not to Kapoor himself.
