In a list of the 25 highest individual peaks that classifies the Himalaya and Karakoram separately, 16 are labeled as Himalayan peaks. The claim of 19 depends on how peaks are counted and whether the Karakoram is included in a broader Himalayan mountain region; this list does not support 19 as an exact count.
