Close to the sea

Central America is a narrow isthmus between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, part of the Atlantic. A geographic description of the region states that no point is more than about 125 miles (200 km, roughly 201 km) from the sea. This is a rounded regional generalization, not a precise measurement for every point; definitions of Central America can vary.
