How Many People Become Millionaires Each Day?
The claim that 60 people become millionaires every day does not match current global estimates. UBS’s Global Wealth Report 2025 counted more than 680,000 new US-dollar millionaires worldwide in 2024—an average of about 1,860 per day. UBS’s Global Wealth Report 2026 reported nearly one million in 2025, or more than 2,600 per day.
These figures describe a change in the estimated number of adults with net worth above US$1 million; they do not mean that this many people receive a million dollars in cash each day. Asset prices, exchange rates, and methodology affect the estimate. The figure depends on year and definition, but 60 per day substantially understates recent global growth.
