Breath-Hold Records
In 2013, Goran Čolak held his breath for 22 minutes 30 seconds in static apnea after breathing oxygen beforehand. Stig Severinsen set a 20-minute-10-second record in 2010, also after breathing pure oxygen. These were exceptional record attempts with pre-oxygenation, not ordinary breath-holding. Oxygen deprivation can quickly cause loss of consciousness and brain injury; do not attempt to reproduce these feats.
