Europe’s climate

Europe lies mostly in temperate latitudes, but the claim that temperate climate prevails almost everywhere and is unique to Europe is too categorical. The north includes subarctic and tundra climates, while Mediterranean areas have hot, dry summers. Temperate climate zones also occur in North and South America, Asia, and Australia. Boundaries and labels depend on the classification used.
