A lake in an impact crater
Bosumtwi is a natural lake in Ghana that fills a meteorite impact crater about 1.07 million years old. The crater is about 10.5 km across, while the lake itself is roughly 8–8.5 km wide. UNESCO and researchers describe it as Ghana’s only natural lake.
