Axolotl regeneration

The axolotl is a Mexican salamander widely studied for its ability to regrow lost limbs, its tail, parts of the spinal cord, and some internal tissues, including parts of the heart. Many of these structures can regenerate with little scarring. Researchers study the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind this process to better understand healing, but this does not mean the same process can already be recreated in humans.
