Птах, що відлітає назад | The bird that can fly backward

Hummingbirds can do more than hover beside a flower: they can fly backward away from it. This is unusual among birds. A hummingbird’s wing generates lift on both the downstroke and the upstroke, and during backward flight the bird adjusts its body angle and wing motion. Moving backward lets it retreat from a flower without turning around.
