Water in the Brain

Water makes up a large share of brain tissue, but the percentage depends on the measurement method and which tissues are included. USGS gives an estimate of about 73%, while the OpenStax textbook lists a typical range of 80–85%. So “about 70%” is only a rough approximation, not a universal exact percentage.
