In a 2011 study, the cellular clock of blind cavefish Phreatichthys andruzzii had a period near 47 hours at 22 °C after a specific synchronizing pulse. At 25 °C it was about 43 hours, and at 29 °C about 38. Thus “the fish lives by a fixed 47-hour day” overstates a result dependent on temperature and experimental procedure.
