Africa’s ecological zones

The Equator crosses Africa, and the continent includes equatorial forests, savannas, deserts, and high-altitude zones. But saying it contains “all natural zones on the planet” is too broad: one global classification maps 11 of the world’s 14 major terrestrial biomes in Africa.
