The Slipa Turia disappears into wetlands

In Volyn, the Slipa Turia watercourse has a reach with no obvious surface outlet: a 2015 field study found its open water fading into a wetland plain, with no surface flow toward the Pripyat observed there. “Flows into nowhere” therefore describes the lack of a visible channel reaching another river; it does not mean the water vanishes without a hydrological pathway—the study relates the area’s water regime to wetlands and groundwater.
