Kiss or gum to neutralize mouth acids?

The claim that a sufficiently long kiss normalizes oral acidity “much better” than chewing gum is not well supported. Saliva buffers acids, and chewing sugar-free gum stimulates saliva flow; ADA dental guidance recognizes this effect after eating. I found no reliable comparative evidence that kissing is superior to gum. The romantic comparison should not be treated as cavity-prevention advice.
