Salvador Dalí was buried in a crypt beneath the dome of the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres. The Dalí Foundation says this location followed the artist’s wish; the reliable sources checked do not say he was “bricked into the floor” or establish legal details of a will. In 2017, a court-ordered exhumation allowed biological samples to be taken, after which the coffin was returned to its place.
