"Parthenophobia": a rare dictionary term
Some glossaries define parthenophobia as fear or strong aversion toward virgins or young women (from a Greek root meaning “maiden/virgin”). However, the term is not a standalone official diagnosis in the major modern classifications of mental disorders. A word appearing on a “phobia list” does not establish a standardized clinical condition with defined criteria. If a fear significantly disrupts someone’s life, a professional assesses symptoms using recognized diagnostic frameworks.
