Скільки відомо комах і павуків? | How many insects and spiders are known?

Numbers in old lists go out of date quickly. Scientists have described more than one million insect species, although the total number of insect species on Earth is estimated in the millions. The World Spider Catalog listed more than 53,000 accepted spider species in 2026. So the source item’s figures of 750,000 insects and 35,000 spiders are outdated; the insect figure also mixes described species with estimates of total diversity.
