Size and weight of the human heart

A healthy adult heart is roughly the size of a clenched fist. Its mass varies: references often give approximate averages of 250 g for women and 300 g for men, while actual values depend on body size and other factors. Thus, 220–260 g may describe some people, but it is not a universal range for all adults.
