Ocean food comes from life, not seawater itself

Seawater contains dissolved mineral nutrients, but it is not concentrated protein food. The claim of 1.5 g of protein in 1 cm³ is physically impossible: that much protein would outweigh an entire milliliter of seawater. The ocean does support productive food webs: phytoplankton in sunlit surface waters use solar energy and nutrients, forming the base for zooplankton, fish, and other animals. But the comparison between the Atlantic’s “nutritional value” and “tens of thousands of land harvests” has no defined units or verifiable calculation, so we do not repeat it as fact. [1–3]
