Is Water "Wet"?
It depends on how “wet” is defined. In the narrow description of wetting, water wets a solid surface when it adheres to it; by that definition the liquid itself is not “wet.” In everyday speech, “wet” can also refer to a liquid or something covered with water. So this is mainly a matter of definition, not a scientific dispute with one unique answer.
