For the Philippines’ 1998 centenary of independence, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued a commemorative 100,000-piso banknote. It measured 8.5 by 14 inches, or about 216 by 356 millimetres; its longer side is close to the length of an A3 sheet. The central bank issued only 1,000 of these notes. It was commemorative legal tender, not an ordinary note for daily payments.
